Wholesale trade declines in Jun after 8 months of gains

Wholesale trade slipped to $61.4 billion in June, Statistics Canada reported Monday, finale an eight-month strain of expanding sales.

Sales in a food, libation and tobacco industries led a approach lower, down 1.1 per cent from May’s turn to $10.78 billion.

Sales in a engine car attention also fell by one per cent to $11.4 billion.

Sales fell in 6 provinces, while Ontario and New Brunswick saw increases.
