Sonia Mania’s launch trailer is… those aren’t tears! My eyes just itch!
Sonic Mania is now in the wild, and my copy is waiting for me once I get back from my family vacation this afternoon! Between wrapping up Mega Man Legacy Collection 2 and jumping into Sonic Mania, this week at grandma’s house is just the start of me devolving back into the mindset of an early 90s kid.
This Sonic Mania launch trailer is enough to bring sentimental softies, like me, to all sorts of emotional highs. SEGA interweaves the 16-bit gameplay with the slick animation from the intro video together, and it uses a song that sounds like it was pulled straight from SEGA’s retro catalog.
PC gamers can claim their free game
Those who pre-ordered the game through select retailers on PC can now qualify for their free copy of Sonic the Hedgehog thanks to the PC release’s delay to Aug. 29. The select retailers include Amazon, BundleStars, DLGamer, GAME, GameStop, Humble Store, Newegg, and Steam.
