We already know when Samsung plans to unveil the Galaxy Note 8, and now we know when it’ll release, too: Friday, September 15.
According to a report from ETNews, citing a wireless carrier executive in South Korea, the Note 8 will be available just a few weeks after it’s announced. That’s great news for fans of the hotly anticipated device—but it’s even more monumental for Samsung.
The memory of last year’s Note 7 recall is no doubt seared into Samsung’s brain, so September 15 will be a big day for the company. The Galaxy S8 launch went off without a hitch. Can the Note 8 avoid the fate of the Note 7?
Not to mention Apple is expected to debut the iPhone 8 in September, making the Note 8’s arrival even more crucial.
We’ve gotten a pretty good look at the Note 8’s final design, while the specs have already been revealed. The Note 8 will reportedly feature a 6.3-inch QHD display, Snapdragon 835 processor, 6GB of RAM, a dual-lens camera setup, 64GB of expandable storage, and a 3,300mAh battery.
While the rumored September 15 release date is for South Korea, it’s very likely that same date applies to regions around the world, including the U.S.
