Apple Watch Series 3 announcement is closer than you think

Apple unveiled the Apple Watch Series 2 eighteen months after the debut of the first generation device. It seems we won’t have to wait nearly as long for the third generation Apple Watch.

According to a new report from Chinese site Economic Daily, the Apple Watch Series 3 is expected to debut later this fall. Digitimes is also reporting that Quanta, Apple’s manufacturing partner for the Apple Watch, will return again to manufacture the next generation wearable.

The report also mentions that Apple will let its second manufacturing partner, Compal, handle making the older generation Apple Watches.
