I’ve had my Switch for about three days now, and it is already proving to be everything I had hoped. All of my PlayStation 4 projects are on hold at the moment simply because I can play Breath of the Wild while I travel to work and other places on the train.
When I get home, I don’t want to stop to play anything else. Nintendo’s already got me sucked into its open fantasy world, and I just don’t want to let go. Things are only going to get worse once Virtual Console, Super Mario Odyssey, and a few more third-party games come strolling along.
I mean, I’d like to play NieR: Automata and Persona 5, something I’m sure the Switch is capable of doing, but I just don’t have 80 hours to sit in front of a television and sink into a JRPG or any AAA game anymore. The only solution is to let me play it when I’m not around the house, and only the Switch provides that now. I’d sink 80 hours into Disgaea 5 Complete before playing Persona 5 at this point.
We’ll see, but I think Nintendo is onto something here. Don’t blow it!
