TAG launched its first Connected watch in November 2015, and despite its hefty price tag, the device sold well. So well, in fact, that TAG had to increase production to meet demand after the watch exceeded the company’s own sales expectations. TAG also introduced an even more expensive solid rose gold option last November.
Now the Swiss firm is gearing up to deliver a successor with an event on Tuesday, March 14. We know nothing about the device at this point — TAG’s teaser image includes glimpses of the device without revealing its overall design or any features — but we’re confident it will launch with Android Wear 2.0 pre-installed.
It is also likely to come with the same upgrade plan that fans got with its predecessors, which lets you swap the smartwatch for a traditional TAG Heuer wristwatch at a discounted price. This means your pricey investment won’t be worthless when your Connected smartwatch is outdated and no longer delivering the best performance.
