Tinder has a secret, members-only section, and you’re not invited

Tinder has reportedly been operating an exclusive invite-only section of its popular swipe dating platform, called Tinder Select, which aims to match celebrities, millionaires, models and other hyper-attractive individuals.

Speaking to TechCrunch, an anonymous source said that Tinder Select was designed for “celebrities and people who do really well on Tinder.” For this reason, members are manually chosen to join the service, though certain users have the ability to nominate others.

To prevent the amount of people with access to the secret layer of the application (yes, — Tinder Select is located in the regular Tinder client) from spreading uncontrollably, those nominated by another user are unable to nominate their friends.
