Google Daydream View gets a massive discount

Google knocked the price of the Daydream View VR headset down to just $49 during a temporary sale. It typically costs $79 and will be discounted until February 25.

We reviewed the Google Daydream View when it launched and found it to be a must-have accessory for folks who own a Daydream-ready smartphone. Unfortunately, that’s limited to the Google Pixel, Google Pixel XL and Moto Z smartphones right now. The ZTE Axon 7, the Huawei Mate 9 Pro and other devices will eventually add support, however.

It’s a no-brainer if you have a supported phone

The experience is still in its infancy. There aren’t a ton of applications available, though the selection is increasing by the day. Plus, really good ones, like Google Maps with Street View, Netflix, Hulu, HBO Now and more, are all already available. $49 is a steal. That price includes the remote and you can choose between three different color options. No brainer buy if you ask me.
