GameStop sells through its Nintendo Switch pre-orders
The Nintendo Switch is obviously going to be in high demand this coming March, and pre-orders are going to be the safest way you can get one. However, you can knock GameStop off the list of places you can potentially buy one, at least for now.
The retailer confirmed on Sunday that it has sold through its first wave of pre-orders for the console. It says that it will be looking to secure more for the launch, but it made no promises as to if or when they would be available.
As for Amazon, Best Buy, Wal-Mart, the rest of the big retailers have the Nintendo Switch listed as “unavailable.†Options will no doubt start to open up over the next month.
As for eBay, the lowest selling Switch pre-order is currently going for $405, a hundred dollars on top of the $299.99 retail price.
Getting flashbacks to the NES Classic Edition
Oh Nintendo, how are you going to keep doing this to us? First the NES Classic Edition, and then the Nintendo Switch? My dad can only handle so much urban camping… actually, that’s not true at all.
Nintendo will likely have a much more efficient plan in place for the Switch than it did the NES Classic, but I foresee plenty of unhappy fans not getting one at launch,
