Here are the most anticipated movies of 2017, according to Fandango
There are a lot of big movies coming out next year, especially if you count yourself among geek circles. Off the top of my head, films such as Logan, Spider-Man: Homecoming, and Justice League are set to come out over the next twelve months, and that’s not to mention the next entry in the Star Wars saga.
Fandango conducted a survey asking more than 2,000 people what movies they’re most excited to see next year—and the results aren’t too surprising. I will say, however, that if you’re not excited for The Lego Batman Movie, you must not have a pulse, because it looks like it could be the comedy to beat in 2017.
Most of the movies people are excited for fall into geek culture, save for Fifty Shades Darker. You could also argue that The Fate of the Furious, the eighth entry in the Fast and Furious franchise, has become an honorary “geek†movie simply for its ensemble cast and cult following.
Other movies those surveyed are anticipating include Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2, Despicable Me 3, and Beauty and the Beast. Notably missing from the list includes Cars 3, Dunkirk, Kingsman: The Golden Circle, and Thor: Ragnarok.
What are you looking forward to?

If I recall correctly, Rogue One: A Star Wars Story was Fandango’s most anticipated film in a similar survey last year, so people clearly can’t get enough of the franchise.
We’ve heard very little about Star Wars: Episode VIII, but with the film now just twelve months from release, we should start learning more about it soon.
