Alix Earle humiliated as she reveals she’s NEVER read a book: ‘Being dumb isn’t a flex’
Alix Earle has come under fire after making a ‘humiliating’ confession about reading.
The 25-year-old sat down for a quick-fire chat with Interview Magazine as she got glammed up behind-the-scenes for a shoot in Milan.
In the clip, shared to Instagram on Monday, Earle sat in a white robe as she fielded a wide-ranging series of questions.
She discussed a range of hot topics, from whether it is acceptable to bring iced coffee to an interview to her current relationship status.
But there was one answer in particular that infuriated viewers.
Earle was asked: ‘What’s the last book you read?’
The social media star let out an exaggerated giggle before responding: ‘I’ve never read a book.’
‘Maybe Dr Seuss?’ she added in reference to the author of kids’ books, such as The Cat in the Hat.

The interview continued with confessions that she would never get back with her ex and, in response to the question of ‘why can’t it be magic all the time?’ she replied ‘because people suck.’
But it was her response to reading that quickly went viral.
One user shared screenshots of the interview to Reddit alongside a caption that read: ‘Embarrassing but not surprised.’
And others were equally unamused.
‘Being dumb isn’t a flex. Being ignorant isn’t cute,’ another scathed.
‘Her publicist or team should have told her to lie and fed her a book title. This is so gross,’ someone else added.
‘Wow it’s embarrassing how she influences young women,’ one wrote, as a fifth shared: ‘I generally don’t mind her but this is f**king humiliating.’
The Daily Mail has reached out to Earle’s representative for comment.

It comes just days after Earle seemingly poked fun at her past romance with Tom Brady and feud with Alex Cooper in a cheeky new ad for her skincare brand, Reale Actives.

The short promo was posted on Earle’s Instagram page to promote her new product, Go Calm, a 10 percent azelaic acid anti-redness calming serum.
In one scene, she snatched a football from the hands of a man wearing a football jersey.
‘Thanks babe,’ Earle said, as she took the football from him and strutted around what was supposed to be an outdoor barbecue setup.
‘Do things blow up from time to time? Sure,’ she continued, as she deflated the football in her hands and threw it into the barbecue, causing it to burst into flames.
The deflated ball appeared to be a cheeky reference to Brady’s 2015 scandal in which he and the New England Patriots were accused of intentionally under-inflating footballs during the 2015 AFC Championship Game.
The scandal resulted in Brady being suspended for four games and the team getting fined for $1 million.
Later, a goat crossed the screen, which could have been a nod to Brady, who is often called the ‘GOAT,’ aka the ‘greatest of all time,’ in football.

At the end of the video, she answered a pay phone, and as she held the phone to her ear she said: ‘Call her calm,’ seemingly a reference to Cooper’s hit podcast, Call Her Daddy
Earle was seen looking flirty with the former New England Patriots quarterback, 49, in St. Barts on New Year’s Eve. The two were seen together again getting cozy at a Super Bowl party.
The football moment could have also been a nod to her ex-boyfriend, New York Giants player Braxton Berrios, as he was born in the year 1995 and the man in the ad’s jersey had the number 95 on it.
‘This serum keeps it from showing on my face,’ Earle went on in the clip. ‘And keeps me prepared for whatever comes next.’

Cooper and Earle have been in a bitter public feud over the past year, something that she broke down in her new reality show on Netflix, Earle Meets World.
Earle was among the initial talents signed by Cooper as she expanded her media empire beyond Call Her Daddy, but she revealed during the show that she found out ‘through the media’ that she had been dropped from the network.
