Steve Witkoff, President Trump’s special envoy, reaped at least $257 million last year from his sprawling business empire, a remarkable haul for a government employee.

Mr. Witkoff’s earnings, reported in a newly released disclosure form for 2025, include $120 million from selling a stake in his family’s real estate business. He also collected nearly $107 million from a holding company that invested in a variety of other ventures, including the Trump family’s cryptocurrency business.

The Witkoff and Trump families founded the crypto business, World Liberty Financial, in the run-up to the 2024 election. And although World Liberty has said Mr. Witkoff was not involved in the company’s operations last year, he continued to own a financial stake until divesting it early this year.

Mr. Trump’s stake in the firm was even more lucrative. Last year, he brought in nearly $800 million from World Liberty, according to the president’s disclosure form released in June. All told, Mr. Trump collected about $1.4 billion from his family’s various cryptocurrency businesses last year, including World Liberty and his $TRUMP memecoin.
