Kate Middleton Debuts Honey Blonde Hair in New Photo
Princess Kate Middleton was all smiles while debuting a golden look.
Kate, 44, was photographed in the car on Sunday, August 23, arriving at Crathie Kirk Church in Aberdeenshire alongside her family. In one image, Kate looked off in the distance as she wore a pillbox hat with a white pie-crust-collar blouse and a blazer.
She completed the outfit with gold earrings and styled her hair in loose waves, which showcased her chestnut brown hair with fresh blonde highlights.
Kate was seated beside her husband, Prince William, in the vehicle, while their eldest son, Prince George, 13, was visible in the back. (The couple are also parents to daughter Princess Charlotte, 11, and son Prince Louis, 8.)
The Princess of Wales previously debuted a lighter hair color last fall, showing her autumn-inspired look while checking out the newly renovated gardens at the National History Museum in London.
Kate’s latest blonde look comes days after news broke that William’s brother, Prince Harry, and his wife, Meghan Markle, would be returning to the U.K.
People reported on Wednesday, August 19, that Harry, 41, and Meghan, 45, would be relocating with their children for an extended period of time starting this month. The pair’s children — son Prince Archie, 7, and daughter Princess Lilibet, 5 — are set to begin school there in September.
Harry and Meghan will continue to have a residence in Montecito, California, and their vacation home in Portugal while having the non-royal property in Britain, the outlet reported. King Charles III reportedly learned of his youngest son’s move on August 16, and is welcoming the opportunity to see Harry and Meghan and their family privately. While William and Kate have yet to publicly react to Harry and Meghan’s move, a royal expert speculated how the couple might be processing the announcement.
“All I can think of is, ‘Here we go again.’ For starters, I can only imagine that William and Kate are tearing their hair out,” Brothers and Wives author Christopher Andersen exclusively told Us on Wednesday. “They have so much on their plate as it is trying to shore up the monarchy and propel it into the future; they don’t really need to cope with having Harry and Megan on their proverbial doorstep.”
Andersen added, “By returning to the U.K., the Sussexes will inevitably suck up all the oxygen in the room. They will generate countless tabloid stories and take the focus away from other members of the Royal family, which is a major no-no. King Charles and Queen Camilla, in particular, don’t like to be upstaged, and the same goes for William.”
