Dallas Cowboys Cheerleaders Upgrade Their Uniforms With New Accessory

The Dallas Cowboys Cheerleaders’ uniforms are getting extra sparkly this NFL season with a new accessory.

“Uniforms tell a story before we ever dance. In the world of the Dallas Cowboys Cheerleaders, every line, every color and every stitch has purpose,” squad director Kelli Finglass said in a recent press release, per USA Today. “When you include a piece of jewelry, it isn’t about decoration, it’s about intention.”

DCC dancers famously wear matching navy crop tops with a star-covered shrug — tied with a “Kelli Knot,” of course — and coordinating shorts with a silver belt buckle. Their looks are completed with a pair of white Lucchese cowboy boots.

For the first time, the 2026-2027 squad will add Kendra Scott earrings to their uniforms. (Scott, 52, recently released her own collection inspired by the DCC.)

“The best accessories don’t distract from the uniform, they refine it,” Finglass, 61, added in her statement. “The Kendra Scott Bella stud is like a final touch that makes the whole picture feel complete.”

The NFL cheerleading team is known for being styled to perfection.

“Choose mostly mattes for eye shadows. A little shimmer is OK but avoid a very glittery look,” the team’s website reads, disclosing guidelines for the dancers. “Also avoid false eyelashes that are very solid or very long, as they can make eyes appear heavy and too dark. Cheek and lip colors should be vibrant neutral tones, avoid shades that are loud/bright. Also avoid too much contrast with contouring and highlighting.”

As for DCCs’ hairstyles, the website notes that the performers should wear their tresses down in a “current hairstyle that compliments [their] features.” Now a second-year veteran, Faith Ward made waves during the 2025-2026 season when she added a high pony to her ensemble.

“Everyone’s like, ‘Why is there a ponytail?’ It’s not just me. I feel very honored to be up there with some other very inspiring women who have had different hairstyles over the years as well,” Ward, 23, exclusively told Us in October 2025. “I do read a lot of people’s opinions, but I just remind myself that at the end of the day, I like wearing it, and I think it looks good. And so do Kelli and Judy [Trammell, our head choreographer].”

Ward’s journey to making the squad was captured on season 3 of Netflix’s America’s Sweethearts: Dallas Cowboys Cheerleaders.

“Kelli looked at me and said, ‘Oh, I think I prefer your hair up,’” Ward recalled to Us. “I got so excited. I was like, ‘Yes, this is like a moment for difference, a moment for me to express myself.’ … We’ve finally nailed it with a million and one hair ties, bobby pins, hair spray [and] hair gel. I’m not gonna lie, at the end of a game day, you have a bit of a headache.”
