Abby Elliott filed for divorce from her husband of nearly a decade, Bill Kennedy, on Friday.
The 39-year-old actress, who is known for playing the role of Natalie on the hit series The Bear, officially filed the divorce documents on July 17, per TMZ.
She listed the date of separation as July 8 and ‘irreconcilable differences’ was also listed as the reason behind the split.
During the course of their marriage, the estranged couple welcomed two children: Edith, five, and William, three.
Elliott has requested for joint legal and physical custody of their kids, according to the outlet.
The star has also requested that Kennedy provide her spousal support and asked the court that he not be awarded any. She has also requested that the producer pay her legal fees.

Daily Mail has reached out to a rep for Elliott for comment, but has yet to hear back.
The actress first crossed paths with Kennedy on set of the 2014 movie Sex Ed, which he had written.
Elliott had been one of the cast members at the time including Glen Powell, Haley Joel Osment and Lorenza Izzo.
That same year, the actress and film producer sparked up a romance. In October 2015, shortly before Halloween, he popped the big question.
‘We’ve been dating for a year-and-a-half, I think. It was a surprise,’ the actress recalled to The Knot in a past interview.
She explained that Kennedy, ‘did it in our apartment and it was beautiful. There were flowers everywhere.’
Elliott said that the producer had gotten her out of the apartment so a friend could decorate for the proposal.
After they grabbed a drink at the bar, the pair went back to find the apartment filled with flowers and candles which created a romantic atmosphere.

The following year in September 2016, Elliott and Kennedy tied the knot during a church ceremony in New England.
The actress had worn a Leanne Marshall gown as she walked down the aisle in front of 200 guests in attendance, People reported at the time.
The gown was made of lace and tulle material, while a sheer white veil was placed at the back of her head.
‘I thought I was going to go with a bohemian style, something a bit different. I ended up with something opposite,’ Elliott told the outlet.
The producer had donned a blue suit for the nuptials.
Elliott and Kennedy welcomed their first child, Edith, in October 2020. Before welcoming baby number one, the actress had gotten candid about undergoing IVF treatment.
‘It’s hardcore. So this Valentine’s Day, I’ll be getting shots in my butt by my husband. Very romantic,’ she said while stopping by The Kelly Clarkson Show.

The pair have often made appearances together on the red carpet and glitzy events over the years.
Back in March, the estranged couple were seen flashing cheerful smiles while attending the 32nd Annual Actor Awards in Los Angeles.
Kennedy is known for being a producer and writer on projects such as House Of Cards, Tell Me Lies and The Morning Show.
Elliott has starred in films such as No Strings Attached (2011), Life Partners (2014) and Cheaper By The Dozen (2022).
