Influencer Paola Márquez was found dead Saturday in her apartment in San Luis Potosí, Mexico in what investigators are looking into as a suicide.

Márquez, 30, was discovered unresponsive by a family member who contacted emergency services, the State Attorney General’s Office said, citing El Sol de San Luis, a news outlet in the area.

Márquez was subsequently pronounced dead at the scene by paramedics, officials told the outlet. 

The influencer had more than 2 million followers on platforms such as Facebook, Instagram and TikTok, where she posted lifestyle and traveling content.

The probe into Márquez’s untimely passing centered around possible suicide, according to the report.

In her final clip on TikTok posted Friday, Márquez told her followers she felt like she had been moving in the wrong direction.

‘I manifested – but I think I manifested backwards, because the little I had is slipping away,’ she said. 

Her father Hercules Márquez Balderas took to Facebook to mourn her on May 30.

‘My treasure went ahead, my beautiful daughter Paola Marquez,’ he said. ‘Dear God have you and keep you in a beautiful place my daughter, one day we will be together again, rest in peace my princess.’

A funeral mass was held in the Huichihuayán area of San Luis Potosí, Mexico in memory of the late influencer on Monday, according to her father’s Facebook. 

One fan penned in response, ‘My deepest condolences!! Wish I could fly to attend. Because even though I didn’t know her in person I always followed her.’

Another said of Márquez, ‘You couldn’t see all the success coming for you.. I always watched your videos, I identified with your happenings.. and I’ll repost it.

‘It’s unfortunate and very sad, your departure.. it’s shining up there… much resignation for his relatives, brotherly hug. Light for your soul girl.’

The grieving father wrote back on his page: ‘Thank you all for your condolences, God bless you!’

Fans also posted memorial statements upon learning of Marquez’s tragic passing on her social media accounts. 

‘My most personal friend, you never knew that I loved you so much, and that your videos made me happy more than once,’ said one user. ‘Be happy in another life.’

Another said of the tragic passing: ‘For the first time, I feel something in my heart for the loss of someone I only saw on screen.’

One mourner wrote: ‘Paola, I wish you find the peace you need, that God embraces you and heals your heart and the pain you felt in life, fly high, beautiful one.’
