Kiefer Sutherland was forced to cancel part of his tour due to low ticket sales, four months after he was arrested for an alleged assault of a rideshare driver.
The actor and musician, 59, took to his Instagram on Friday writing, ‘With great disappointment I am going to have to cancel the US leg of my tour due to very low ticket sales.’
‘I don’t think it’s fair to the people who have bought tickets, or the venues, to play to half empty houses,’ the 24 star added.
‘I look forward to touring the United States again at a more suitable time. I hope you understand.’
He also assured fans that refunds for his Love Will Bring You Home Tour ‘will be available from point of purchase.’
Sutherland – who’s been promoting his upcoming fourth studio album, Grey – is currently wrapping up the final stretch of the European portion of his tour.

He shared an Instagram update on Tuesday, telling fans, ‘We played our last show in Europe in Belgium last night. I wanted to take a moment and thank all the venues and all of the audiences, you guys were amazing. We are now playing in the U.K. for the next month.’
Sutherland’s Love Will Bring You Home Tour, which kicked off on April 14, marks his first full tour since 2024.
He will next take the stage in Glasgow on Saturday, followed by shows in Newcastle, Manchester and Belfast.
Among his axed US gigs were scheduled stops in Los Angeles, Boston, and Phoenix, though his final show in Las Vegas on July 2 is seemingly still set to go ahead.
After wrapping up his tour he will headline Les Grands Crus Musicaux, an annual music festival in Quebec, Canada on July 11.
Though he is best known for his role as Jack Bauer on 24, the actor has been building a country music career in-between his film projects for the past few years.
He has been touring in support of his next album Grey, which is set to be released on May 29th.
In March he took to Instagram to give fans an update on the album, writing, ‘To begin, I want to express how happy and excited I am to be releasing my fourth album, Grey. The songs were written and recorded over a two-year period from 2024 to 2026.’
‘In many ways these songs mark a growth for me personally, as I wrote less about observations and more about personal feelings that I have been navigating in my own life,’ he shared.
He went on to call his single, Simpler Time, ‘a reflection on my youth and the memory of a time that felt more reliable culturally, socially and politically. I am aware that the memory of one’s youth is often seen through rose tinted glasses, but in this instance, personally, I don’t think so.’

It comes following Sutherland’s shock arrest earlier this year. The actor was taken into custody January 14 in Los Angeles after a conflict with a rideshare driver in Hollywood around Sunset Boulevard and Fairfax Avenue, the Daily Mail previously confirmed.
In February, the Los Angeles County District Attorney’s Office told Daily Mail that it sent the case back to the Los Angeles Police Department, asking for more probing.
Sutherland was accused of assaulting the driver and getting into the vehicle without consent, which led to his arrest in connection with suspicion of felony criminal threats, police said. The actor subsequently bailed out at $50,000 bond in the incident.
An insider told The California Post that Sutherland might still be facing charges in connection with the events.
The arrest marked the latest incident in a string of legal woes for the star, whose filmography includes classics such as A Few Good Men, The Lost Boys and Stand by Me.
In January of 2008, he was released from jail following a 48-day sentence in connection with a drunken driving conviction.
Sutherland had to serve the sentence after he entered a no contest plea to driving with a blood-alcohol level above the legal limit in the September 2007 incident, and received a 30-day sentence.
The court added an additional 18 days to the sentence after Sutherland violated probation he had been on linked to a 2004 arrest in connection with drunken driving.
Sutherland, the son of late acting legend Donald Sutherland, has an arrest record that dates back decades to the 1980s.

The England-born, Canada-raised actor was taken into custody in 1989 in connection with alcohol-related reckless driving and possession of a loaded weapon in Los Angeles, according to The Los Angeles Times.
Sutherland subsequently pleaded no contest to the alcohol-related reckless driving, with prosecutors dropping the weapons charge on him.
Sutherland was again arrested in connection with alcohol-related reckless driving in 1993, and would enter a no contest plea. He was sentenced to 200 hours of community service in connection with the offense.
Sutherland appeared to stay out of trouble for the better part of a decade until his arrest in 2004 in connection with driving under the influence. He agreed to enroll in a court-overseen treatment program and was given five years of probation.
Sutherland’s last film role was in Justin Chadwick’s 2026 thriller Brothers Under Fire.
He will next appear in Barthelemy Grossmann’s Father Joe alongside Godfather legend Al Pacino. The film is currently in post-production.
