2026 Awards Season Style Forecast: Celebs Bare Skin in Off-the-Shoulder Gowns
All signs are pointing to stars putting their décolletage on display at the upcoming 2026 Actor Awards and Oscars.
Before Hollywood’s favorites strut their stuff on the red carpet at both awards shows, Us Weekly is calling it now — off-the-shoulder dresses will be a major trend.
Because of the number of shoulder-baring designs we saw at the 2026 Golden Globes in January and Grammys in February, Us Weekly’s style forecast shows similar styles ahead at the upcoming Actor Awards (previously called the SAG Awards) on March 1, and the Academy Awards, on March 15.
Take Leslie Mann, for example, who stunned in a custom Balenciaga dress at the 2026 Golden Globes. Her look featured a black dress that cinched her waist and cascaded into a loosely-fitted dress. She teamed her look with white gloves. She let the number speak for itself and opted for simplistic jewelry, including diamond stud earrings. To complement her look, Mann wore her auburn hair down and parted down the middle. Her mane was styled in loose curls.
Ariana Grande is another star who showed just the right amount of skin at the Golden Globes in a custom Vivienne Westwood dress. The piece, which featured off-the-shoulder straps, one of which tied in a bow over her right arm, was complete with a fitted bodice and billowing pleated skirt. The singer glammed up her ensemble with a diamond necklace and styled her hair in a slicked-back updo.
Selena Gomez was also a sight to see at the Golden Globes in a Chanel design featuring a black dress adorned with white feathers on her neckline. She added a pop of color to her look with red lipstick and wore her hair in Old Hollywood curls.
Gomez, 33, isn’t the only star who has looked fab in feathers as of late. Kesha also sported a plume frock at the Grammys in a Kseniia Podvalna of Atelier Biser dress. Her look was complete with a voluminous off-the-shoulder top and straight skirt that cascaded into a delicate train.
Another singer who commanded attention at the Grammys was Karol G. She stunned in a naked Paolo Sebastian number featuring delicate lace-embellished straps that hugged her arms. The rest of her dress was finished with buttons lining her skirt and a stunning train. Karol, 35, made her look even more ethereal with messy — but chic — mermaid curls and dewy skin. Her glam was finished with glowy foundation, pink lips, bronzey eyeshadow and long lashes.

FKA Twigs also had Us gagged with her sexy off-the-shoulder Paolo Carzana dress at the Grammys. She opted for a flesh-toned airy dress with loosely-fitted sleeves finished with a wide hem. The rest of her look included an open skirt that exposed her nude fishnet stockings. The signer accessorized with silver cuff bracelets stacked on her arms and statement rings. To match her fiery red hair, she held a vibrant flower in her hands.
A few stars who fans can expect to see at the Oscars include Mikey Madison and Zoe Saldaña, who are presenting awards.
More nominees are Emma Stone, Zendaya, Kate Hudson, Elle Fanning, Teyana Taylor and Inga Ibsdotter Lilleaas.
