Tell Me Lies’ Grace Van Patten and Jackson White Deliver a Couple Style Moment
Grace Van Patten and Jackson White proved to be a stylish couple at the Tell Me Lies season 3 screening.
Van Patten, 29, and White, 29, coordinated in dark looks at the premiere, which was held at New York City’s Corner Store on Monday, January 12.
The actress, who plays Lucy Albright in the drama show, stunned in a flowy black blouse featuring pleated sleeves that draped over her shoulders and a mock neck. She tucked the piece into a high-waisted patent leather skirt that cascaded to her ankles. The design was complete with a thigh-high slit. Van Patten completed her ensemble with sheer black tights and pointed-toe patent leather heels.
Van Patten kept her look simplistic-chic with soft glam, including dewy skin, highlighted cheeks and highlighter swept on her high points. She completed her makeup with warm eyeshadow blended into her crease and pink, lined lips. Her honey blonde hair was parted down the middle and styled in beachy waves.
White, for his part, wrapped his arm around the show’s leading lady while rocking a gray blazer, which he wore partially unbuttoned. He styled the jacket with a white dress shirt and a black tie with a delicate pattern. White completed his look with black pants and polished dress shoes.
Tell Me Lies follows Lucy, Stephen DeMarco (White) and their college friend group. Lucy and Stephen have a toxic relationship that involves their inner circle.
Van Patten and White met during auditions and immediately hit it off. In October 2025, she opened up about their relationship during an episode of “Call Her Daddy.”
“I didn’t like Jackson [at first],” she recalled to host Alex Cooper. “We talk about this all the time. I had done a bunch of Zoom chemistry reads because it was still Covid.”
Van Patten continued, “Jackson, I had heard, was the favorite. So, I’m excited for his thing. He gets on, and — I’ve told him this — I’m like, ‘Oh, this is like a serious actor, like, actor-y actor.’ So, I was just like, ‘Ugh, God.’ But he was so good.”
Van Patten remembered initially being put off by his serious attitude and made peace with the idea of “maybe” not getting “along” with her costar.
“I was like, ‘Alright, it’s fine, maybe we won’t get along, but he’s, like, perfect for the part,’” she noted. “He’s so talented and great.”
When the costars met in person for the next round of auditions, everything changed. “It was a completely different energy,” Van Patten gushed. “He just told me he was really nervous for the Zoom. I was so in the zone of the show and being so excited about doing it and like finding the guy.” She added, “My brain was very like Tell Me Lies and I kept thinking about him.”

Soon after, the twosome had dinner together and “vibed instantly.”
“It was that night we were both like, ‘We have a crush on each other.’ This is probably the worst thing that could happen,” she joked. “We sat on the stoop for I think like six hours and talked about every reason we should not act on this. And then I kissed him.”
She also gushed that the “best part” about playing Lucy is that she gets to work alongside Jackson.
