‘Happy’s Place’ Star Melissa Peterman: What’s in My Bag?
Melissa Peterman is not a diva who insists on designer bags.
“I just want people to know I’m not that person,” she tells Us. “Most of my bags are from HM. But this [Gucci] I stalked on The RealReal because I love this color. I waited and waited until it got into a reasonable price range, and I bought it for myself for my birthday.”
And because she loves her chic companion so much (particularly its pink lining), it’s never tucked away or hidden. “I don’t keep this bag on a shelf,” the actress says. “It’s dirty. It’s got crumbs in it. If you buy something beautiful for yourself, you should use it. So this goes to the dog park. This goes everywhere.”
When it comes to what’s inside the gorgeous peacock blue beauty, it can range from wine-hued lip gloss from one of her beloved makeup brands to sweet treats and the item she’s “most proud of,” her Costco membership card. “I have to get a new one because it’s about to fall apart,” she adds.

“I love to send cards,” she explains of carrying stamps in her bag. “And Betty White is a hero of mine. If you don’t smile when Betty White is on your envelope, I don’t want to know you!”

“I discovered Kai perfume oil when I first moved to L.A.,” she says. “When I put it on now, it makes me feel like I am younger and back in those days.”
