Conor McGregor will make UFC return vs. Michael Chandler as ‘The Ultimate Fighter’ coach
Conor McGregor is set to return to the Ultimate Fighting Championship, as UFC president Dana White announced he will coach against lightweight Michael Chandler in season 31 of “The Ultimate Fighter”.
After the season is complete, McGregor will take on Chandler in the octagon. No date has been set for that match, but the next season of “The Ultimate Fighter” premieres May 30 on ESPN. This will be McGregor’s second stint as a coach on the show. He also appeared in season 22 of the show, coaching against Urijah Faber.
McGregor has not fought since a loss to Dustin Poirier in July 2021 at UFC 264. The fight was stopped at the end of the first round after McGregor suffered a leg injury.
