She added it had been a ‘long time’ since she had last spoken with Carter.
Lindsay, Aaron, and Hilary Duff were famously embroiled in an alleged love triangle during the early 2000s.
The Aaron’s House singer previously opened up about their relationship in 2005.

Duff, who famously dated Carter in the early 2000s, wrote: ‘For Aaron – I’m deeply sorry that life was so hard for you and that you had to struggle in front of the whole world. You had a charm that was absolutely effervescent… boy did my teenage self love you dearly. Sending love to your family at this time. Rest easy.’
Carter and Duff dated on and off between 2001 and 2003, when they were barely teenagers. Carter even appeared in an episode of Duff’s famous Disney Channel sitcom, Lizzie McGuire.
They were involved in a tumultuous romance, with Aaron also alleged to be dating Lindsay at the same time.
This led to a reported feud between the two actresses. In 2003, the young couple broke up for good over rumours that Aaron cheated on the Lizzie McGuire star.
