Kanye West filed last week to trademark an odd new logo that he reportedly plans to use in his upcoming retail ventures.
The 45-year-old musician hopes to secure the copyright on a disc-like dark blue design that features a serrated outer edge with a solid circular band inside, it was claimed.
His latest court documents come one month after he filed for the trademark on a similar design with a white interior instead of a blue one, TMZ reports.

Kanye’s court filing from last week makes his intentions for the new design clear: ‘The color(s) blue is/are claimed as a feature of the mark.’
While being principally famous for his music, Kanye also sits at the helm of an international fashion brand known for its sneakers.
According to his latest court documents, the new blue logo is meant to be used for retail stores, online retail store services and online ordering services.
Reports have been swirling for months that Kanye is plotting to begin opening his own retail shops to hawk his fashion products.

The name is reminiscent of the Yeezy Supply website through which Kanye has previously made certain limited edition items available to his fans.
His ‘YZSPLY’ trademark filing covers a wide variety of apparel ranging from tennis clothes to G-strings to visors to socks.
Earlier this week it emerged Kanye will not face charges for allegedly punching an autograph seeker outside a Los Angeles club in January.

The Los Angeles City Attorney’s Office informed TMZ in a statement: ‘After a thorough and careful review of all the evidence, our office is declining to file based on no reasonable likelihood of conviction.’
He was previously under investigation for misdemeanor battery – a charge carrying a penalty of up to six months behind bars.
Kanye was alleged to have hit the fan and knocked him down around 3am outside the private members’ club Soho Warehouse in West Hollywood.
The fan is said to have asked him for an autograph, reportedly precipitating an increasingly intense confrontation that allegedly escalated to become physical.

Kanye subsequently claimed to Entertainment Tonight that the person he purportedly hit ‘wasn’t a fan’ but was ‘taking autographs to make money on them.’
While describing the encounter, he said: ‘And this dude just, he just had this real attitude, like: “Whatchu gonna do? And see that?” Imma just tell you, that blue COVID mask ain’t stop that knockout, you know what I’m saying.’
At that time he was in the throes of an explosive public feud with his ex-wife Kim Kardashian that involved parenting disputes regarding their four children.

He was also publicly clashing with Kim’s then-boyfriend, Saturday Night Live lothario Pete Davidson, whom she ultimately split from this month.
Kanye reacted jubilantly to Kim’s latest breakup by posting a joke meme of a New York Times headline declaring ‘Skete Davidson’ dead.
A source has claimed that Pete, who like Kanye has a history of mental health problems, has spent ‘months’ in ‘trauma therapy’ over the rap superstar’s behavior.
‘The attention and negativity coming from Kanye and his antics is a trigger for [Pete], and he’s had to seek out help,’ the insider told People.
