Ruby Rose has blasted co-star Dougray Scott and executives for The CW and Warner Bros. Television as she alleged abusive work conditions on the Batwoman set.
The 35-year-old Australian actress took to her Instagram Story on Wednesday morning to make some blistering claims about her exit from the series last year as she detailed difficult working conditions which she and others faced.
She – who played protagonist Kate Kane – made several bombshell allegations including accusing co-star Dougray Scott of ‘abusing women’ and claiming former WB Television President Peter Roth ‘forced’ her back to work following surgery from a neck injury.
Warner Bros. Television group has responded to Rose’s claims in a statement to DailyMail.com which reads: ‘Despite the revisionist history that Ruby Rose is now sharing online aimed at the producers, the cast and crew, the network, and the Studio, the truth is that Warner Bros. Television had decided not to exercise its option to engage Ruby for season two of BATWOMAN based on multiple complaints about workplace behavior that were extensively reviewed and handled privately out of respect for all concerned.’

DailyMail.com has also reached out to reps for Scott and The CW for comment and has yet to hear back.
Rose said that 55-year-old Scott – who played her character’s father Jacob Kane until his exit earlier this year – abused women on set.
She wrote: ‘Dougray hurt a female stunt double, he yelled like a little b***h at women and was a nightmare
‘He left when he wanted and arrived when he wanted. He abused women and in turn as a lead of a show I sent an email asking for a no yelling policy, they declined..’
Rose also took aim at now former WB Television President Peter Roth and even speculated about his exit from the studio.

‘When it comes to you, there’s already an army waiting for u.’
Rose shared videos of her X-rays from the hospital after her neck injury on set as she underwent neck surgery in 2019.
They went on to explain: ‘To everyone who said I was too stiff on Batwoman, imagine going back to work 10 days after this.

(Or the whole crew and cast would be fired and I’d let everyone down because Peter Roth said he would recast and I just lost the studio millions (by getting injured on his set), instead of spending half a day to rewrite me out for a few weeks to heal’

It was reported back in May 2020 that she had quit her role on the superhero series, however, she now claims to have been fired.
Rose explained: ‘To my dear, dear fans still asking if I will return to that awful show, I wouldn’t return for any amount of money nor if a gun were to my head … NOR DID I QUIT. I DID NOT QUIT, they ruined Kate Kane and they destroyed Batwoman, not me.
‘I followed orders, and if I wanted to stay I was going to have to sign my rights away. Any threats, any bullying tactics or blackmail would not make me stand down.’

She began the series of posts by tagging showrunner Caroline Dries and Greg Berlanti and Sarah Schechter of the show’s production company Berlanti Productions and writing: ‘Enough is enough.
‘I’m going to tell the whole world what really happened to me on that set. I will come for you so what happened to me never happens to another person again. And so I can finally take back my life and the truth. Shame on you.’
They also claimed showrunner Dries only came to set four times in a year which she noted is ‘UNHEARD OF.’
However during one of those visits, Rose said Dries encouraged her to comply with the private investigator that had been hired by Roth.
