Dwayne Johnson Tears Up Talking About His Daughter And It’s The Sweetest

Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson has been many things — football player, pro wrestler, blockbuster film actor, puppy rescuer

Johnson’s daughter, Simone, is 14 years old, and from a impulse he initial hold her, Johnson says he was smitten. As he tells “Oprah’s Master Class” in this weekend’s arriving interview, Johnson vowed from that day brazen to give her a things he lacked in his possess violent childhood.

“When we hold her when she was born, we hold her in these dual hands and we pronounced to her, ‘I will always, always take caring of you. For a rest of your life, we are safe,'” Johnson recalls.

Even when a family gifted formidable times — Johnson and Simone’s mother, his college swain Dany Garcia, separate in 2007 — a father-daughter bond was unshakable, and Johnson shortly accepted what would be a many critical thing he could yield for Simone as a years went on.

“Throughout a ups and downs, I’ve satisfied that a many critical thing that we could do with my daughter is lead a life with love,” Johnson says. “Not success. Not fame. Not anything else. But, ‘I’m always here for you. we adore you.'”

One day, Johnson looked during his teen and asked her a question.

“I said, ‘Do me a favor. we wish we to tell me, what is a thing that we adore many about a relationship?'” Johnson says.

Though Simone primarily attempted to brush off her dad’s inquiry, Johnson pressed. Recalling her answer still creates him romantic today.

“She said, ‘Well, that we trust you,'” he says, ripping up. “For a 13-year-old lady to contend that to her dad… She said, ‘I trust you, and we have a really special bond.'”

Like Simone’s birth, it was a impulse her father will never forget.

“That changed me,” Johnson says as he wipes his eyes and chuckles. “I couldn’t ask for anything else. we adore that girl.”
