Alyssa Milano was involved in a horrifying incident on the road on Tuesday, as she performed CPR on her uncle after he after suffered a heart attack while driving with her in the vehicle on a freeway in Los Angeles.
The actress-activist, 48, was riding with her uncle Mitch in a Ford Edge, police sources told TMZ, when he had a medical emergency, thought to be a heart attack.
In the incident, their SUV was struck by another vehicle, sources told the site, and Milano alertly used her hand to lean on the brakes, coming to a stop after making contact with another vehicle in the lane it had drifted into.

‘With the assistance of a good Samaritan, they were able to bring the Ford to a stop in between the #1 and #2 lane,’Â ET reported, citing the California Highway Patrol.
Milano administered CPR on her uncle until first responders were on the scene, and took her uncle to a local hospital, where he was being treated in the wake of the incident.
Reps for the actress, who’s been seen in recent years on shows such as Insatiable and Grey’s Anatomy, told TMZ she was thankful for the people who helped her uncle at the scene, as well as first responders and medical workers.
The actress was subsequently picked up by husband David Bugliari, according to the CHP.

‘It’s not hard to take care of each other, but it is important,’ she tweeted. ‘Get vaccinated. Wear masks. Lock up your guns. Learn CPR. Small, common-sense actions.’
She had not yet directly addressed the harrowing incident on social media Tuesday evening.Â
