Jerry Brown Vetoes Bill Banning Drones From Flying Over Private Property

Brian Wynne, boss and CEO of a Association for Unmanned Vehicle Systems International, praised Brown’s halt in a statement

“We extol Governor Brown for vetoing this nonessential and limiting legislation,” Wynne said. “While a attention supports a safe, non-intrusive use of UAS technology, SB 142 would have mutilated innovation, hampered mercantile expansion and combined inconsistencies with sovereign law.”

The Federal Aviation Administration is still building rules
