Ne-Yo and his wife Crystal Renay are currently expecting their third child together, which they announced via Instagram in late February.
And in an interview with TooFab, the 41-year-old hitmaker opened up about the prospect of having a fourth, as well the ‘plans’ for a vasectomy his wife passionately nixed.
‘I am having one more [child] right now. My wife is pregnant right this second,’ he reminded to the outlet, after he was asked if it was true he wasn’t ‘having anymore children’ in the future.

He clarified that his wife was the one who ‘decided that she doesn’t want any more children,’ so he is happily ‘following her lead on that.’

‘No — no, I’m not getting any surgery,’ he shot back before adding,’ but mind you, my plan WAS to get the surgery.’
It turns out Renay had nixed his idea of a vasectomy and urged him not ‘to get the surgery because if we ever decide we do want any more kids we can’t do it.’

Confused by her flip-flop on such an important subject, the Arkansas native responded, ‘But you just said you don’t want more kids,’ to his wife.
Seemingly having thought about the finality of a vasectomy in most cases, Renay had a change of heart and shot back, ‘I don’t want more kids right now but what if I want some [in the future].’
As the discussion over their baby-making remains fluid — for now, Ne-Yo has decided to keep an open mind on the family matter.

‘Until God said “Hey, you got three more on deck, then we gonna rock with this one more and let it be that.’
The couple, who were married on February 2016. already share two sons: Shaffer, five, and Roman, two.
The singer-songwriter, 41, also has a daughter Madilyn, 10, and a son Mason, nine with former partner Monyetta Shaw (2009-2013).
