College football bowl schedule for the 2020 season

Everything in college football has been impacted by COVID-19, so it’s no surprise that bowl season will look very different than we have come to appreciate during the holidays.

A total of 29 postseason games in the Football Bowl Subdivision are set to take place in December and January. It’s a slimmed-down schedule from the original plan for 43 with games called off due to health concerns and teams opting out.

The College Football Playoff semifinals will be held on Jan. 1 at the Rose Bowl, which has moved to Arlington, Texas, and the Sugar Bowl in New Orleans. The national championship game will wrap up the bowl season on Jan. 11 in Miami Gardens, Florida.
