Alexis Skyy Gets Candid About Being ‘Sold’ at 15 in New ‘LHH: Atlanta’ Season 9 Trailer

The upcoming season 9 of “Love Hip Hop: Atlanta” is much more personal for cast member Alexis Skyy. In the nearly six-minute super trailer that VH1 released on Monday, March 9, Alexis can be seen practicing for self-defense before opening up about her bleak history.

During a panel, Alexis reveals to the audience, “I was just basically sold to whoever, highest bidder.” She goes on saying, “I had to forcefully do it or he would say he was gonna kill me. I didn’t want to die.”

Following the release, Alexis took to her Instagram account to share a lengthy message. “LHHATL this season is a really BIG season for me, for the first time EVER…in my life… I’m opening up about my tramatic human trafficking experience I went thru as a little girl…!!!” so she wrote alongside a clip of her part in the trailer.

“Everyday I’m attacked, judged accused of lying… all because, I’ve never spoke on my story before, but what nobody knows is, I still to this day haven’t told my mom, my grandmother or none of my immediate family!!!” she added. “I was only 15 years old when I was kidnapped forced into human trafficking by a guy 20 years older than me.”

Alexis went on saying that the man “beat on me, threaten to kill me, my family etc” every single day for 2 months. “Multiple times he held a loaded gun to my face, abused raped me!! Also forcing me to have sexual intercourse who would pay,” she detailed. “It’s so much shyt I’ve been thru as a young girl that nobody knows.”

In addition, the new season will see Alexis having a physical altercation with Karlie as she appears to be secretly married to someone whom Alexis is dating. “He was in love with me. He gave her my ring and everything, so…,” so Karlie yells at Alexis before attempting to attack Alexis at Rasheeda and Kirk Frost‘s 20th anniversary party.

Season 9 of “Love Hip Hop: Atlanta” is set to premiere on March 16 at 8 P.M. ET/PT on VH1.
