FRESNO, Calif. (AP) — Police contend a 10-year-old daughter of a California sheriff’s major shot her younger sister with their father’s gun in an apparent accident.
Fresno Police Lt. Joe Gomez says a 8-year-old lady was shot Friday in a torso and is in fast condition.
Gomez tells a Fresno Bee (http://bit.ly/1CpZ4Yi) that a girls’ father was removing prepared for work and had private a repository on his handgun before withdrawal it on a bed while he got prepared for work.
He says a 10-year-old grabbed a gun and liberated a bullet left in a cover attack a younger girl.
Gomez says a major immediately called 911 for an ambulance and told Fresno police.
Madera County Sheriff Jay Varney says a gun used was a employee’s use arms and that a officer would not be placed on paid executive leave.
