Canso spaceport partners with U.S. association to recycle rockets in space

The association planning to build a rocket-launching facility on Nova Scotia’s Eastern Shore has partnered with a U.S. association to try to reuse tools of a rockets in space.

Maritime Launch Services and Houston-based Nanoracks have sealed an agreement to work on repurposing a top stages of MLS’s rockets — the tools of a car that contained fuel and are expelled as it climbs into orbit.

With a assistance of NASA funding, Nanoracks has been study ways to recycle space junk to emanate what it calls “outposts” via a solar system, including hotels, investigate parks, fuel depots and storage centres.
