Ashley Judd says she still might run for office

Yes, Ashley Judd says, she has regrets about not running for the U.S. Senate and taking on Mitch McConnell. But the actress says in a new interview that she might be a candidate “someday.”

Judd insists in the interview with The Hill that she was prepared to run in Kentucky against McConnell, who went on to easily defeat Alison Lundergan Grimes and become Senate majority leader in the 2014 GOP wave.

Judd says she “couldn’t stop crying” as she discussed the Senate race with her political team and ultimately decided against it.

“It was a real leap of faith on my part because I am not ego-free,” Judd told The Hill

As for seeking elected office, Judd says she “might run someday. I don’t know.”
