Apricot Power products removed due to risk of cyanide poisoning

Ecoideas Innovations Inc. is recalling products from its Apricot Power brand.

The products are Bitter Raw Apricot Seeds and Apricot Seed Meal. They’ve been recalled due to a healthy toxin, amygdalin, that can means means strident cyanide poisoning.

The removed products, sole opposite a country, should be thrown out or returned to a store where they were purchased.

The Canadian Food Inspection Agency says consumers should not feast a apricot products. The Apricot Power sour tender apricot seeds come in both 454 g and 226 g packages.

The warning from a CFIA says consumers should not devour a removed products “as they have improper dose information and extreme expenditure might means cyanide poisoning.”

The Apricot Seed Meal comes in 191 g package with a best-before date of Mar 2020.

The CFIA says sour apricot kernels naturally enclose a devalue called amygdalin, that has a intensity to recover cyanide when a kernels are ingested.

Small amounts of cyanide can be detoxified by a tellurian body, according to a CFIA, though high amounts might be lethal.
