
Arianna Huffington took to Instagram Tuesday afternoon to extol singer Jennifer Aniston for her opening in a highly-anticipated film, “Cake.” Huffington posted a print of a dual embracing and described “Cake” as “an extraordinary film putting strength and blood on mental health and addiction.”
The post came shortly after a special luncheon in respect of Aniston and a film that Huffington hosted during her home in Los Angeles. She also wrote in a caption, “Jennifer’s memorable opening rises it into a area of films with a energy to make us consider and act differently.”
“Cake” centers on a dark, fractious pill-popper, played by Aniston, who becomes intrigued by a self-murder of a lady in her pain support group.
Referring to a hurdles of a role, Aniston told a Los Angeles Times, “I’m gentle going to dim places
The film perceived a station acclaim during a Toronto International Film Festival premiere in Sep and has been generating Oscar hum for Aniston
Other Hollywood large wigs assimilated a luncheon during Huffington’s home, including Aniston’s fiancé Justin Theroux, Rob Reiner, Salma Hayek, Lisa Kudrow and Chelsea Handler. “Cake” executive Daniel Barnz was also in attendance, in further to producers Ben Barnz and Mark Canton.
Unfortunately, cake was not served.
“Cake” will be expelled nationally Jan. 23.
