Command Conquer is slated to enjoy a quarter of a century of existence in 2020, bringing back fond memories of excellent strategy gameplay, cheesy FMV acting, and low-cut tops. The classic RTS series doesn’t get nearly the same love it did during its early years or at the turn of the millennium, but that doesn’t mean that fans have forgotten it.
And neither has EA. Producer Jim Vessella just confirmed on reddit that it has plans to remaster several of the games to celebrate
We’ve been exploring some exciting ideas regarding remastering the classic PC games, and already have the ball rolling on our first effort to celebrate the upcoming 25th Year Anniversary.
In addition, Vassella also stated that the remasters won’t have microtransactions, and that EA plans to incorporate fan feedback into the future of the series. We last saw Command Conquer return to the world stage in Command Conquer: Rivals… a free-to-play mobile game.
