Google has taken some very odd steps with its miniature Pixel models. The first borrowed just about every design element and feature from the bigger model, but with the second generation it changed course keeping big bezels on the smaller model while the bigger XL version got reduced ones.

With the Pixel 3, Google took another odd step in essentially adding the display design of the Pixel 2 XL into a smaller body. However, we’re not complaining about it because at least you don’t get the ugly notch. So, let’s examine how the Pixel 3 and Pixel 2 compare against each other.

Going from the Pixel to the Pixel 2 felt like an incremental step, but going from the Pixel 2 to the Pixel 3 Google lets it be known it is serious about its smartphones and it’s listening to user feedback. The chunky bezels are gone, as is the all-aluminum body that finally adds wireless charging to the Pixel line.

Under the hood, the improvements are a little less exciting. The processor is now a Snapdragon 845 upgraded over the Snapdragon 835 while the 4GB of RAM stayed the same.

Overall, the changes Google made with the Pixel 3 make it a big improvement over the Pixel 2. Check out he spec comparison down below and decide which is better.
