Anytime an Android flagship is announced, it’s a natural reflex to immediately see how it compares to Apple’s flagship iPhone. In the case of LG’s recently unveiled V40 ThinQ, it will go head to head with the iPhone XS Max.

In a battle of notched phones, the V40 ThinQ and iPhone XS Max differ in many areas but overall, they’re very similar. Adorning the notched OLED displays is an all-glass and metal sandwich that feels extremely premium. The XS Max ups the luxury with a stainless steel band over the aluminum the V40 ThinQ offers, but that might be a footnote.

In terms of display size, the V40 ThinQ has a stunning 6.4-inch display and the iPhone XS Max has a 6.5-inch display, giving the two devices their most striking similarity. Looking further down the spec list, the two feature some of the best specs: Snapdragon 845 vs. A12 Bionic, 6GB of RAM vs. 4GB of RAM, and triple-lens camera vs. dual-lens camera.

On the software side, it’s a battle of iOS and Android and by now you probably have your allegiance, so that’s where this specific battle will end up going.

Price is also a big sticking point with the two devices. The iPhone XS Max starts off at $1,099 while the V40 ThinQ will cost upwards of $900-plus depending on the carrier. That’s a lot of money for a phone and it will play a big role in which phone you end up going with.

Check out the side-by-side comparison between the two phones down below and decide for yourself which is the better premium flagship.
