Fortnite Season 6 Introduces Pets, Including a Good Boy

Epic on Thursday detailed the changes coming to Fortnite in Season 6, and WHO’S A GOOD BOY.

The developer revealed players can jump into their next match with a pet strapped to their back, including the happiest puppy you’ve ever seen. Don’t worry, no animals will be harmed as you battle it out for first place.

Epic has also updated the map with a floating island and a haunted castle, the latter of which will surely put players in the mood for a spooky Halloween. Other new locations include corn fields and new corrupted areas.

There’s also a new consumable called Shadow Stone, which Epic says will apply a “Shadow Form,” rendering players invisible when stationary. The only catch is you’ll be unable to use weapons when you use a Shadow Stone. The effect can last up to 45 seconds, but there’s a way to cancel the effect by holding down Alt Fire.

The changes in Season 6 also include weapon tweaks and bug fixes. You can see the full patch notes below.
