The dual “hands” now trustworthy to a Canadarm2 are entirely functional, Audrey Barbier said.

These hands — officially called Latching End Effectors (LEEs) — are the grippers that help the robotic arm perform upkeep tasks on a ISS and locate supply ships.

LEEs are customarily replaced due to normal wear and tear, according to a CSA.

The Dragon plug will also broach food for Canadian astronaut David Saint-Jacques to eat during his space mission, set to start in December. And it will broach reserve and apparatus for scholarship and research.
