Aeroplan promises a new beginning, though that hasn’t quelled fears among members about a destiny after Air Canada cuts ties with a rewards module in 2020.
To drum adult fad and confidence, Aeroplan recently launched an ad campaign, revelation a roughly 5 million members that it will “transform transport planning” into “an unusual experience.”
But though Air Canada, a marquee partner, some consternation how Aeroplan will reinvent itself in a sell landscape swarming with rewards programs. Just last week, RBC and WestJet announced they’re going to emanate Ampli, nonetheless another faithfulness height involving travel.

Financial author and consultant Viraj Samani doesn’t trust there’ll be a mad rush to redeem miles, partly since transport formulation takes time. He’s also assured Aeroplan will attract mixed new rewards partners, ensuring a survival, due to a vast series of active members.
Rewards consultant Patrick Stojka in Calgary is also assured Aeroplan will survive. What he’s uncertain about is only how successful a restructured module will be.
He predicts a format will seem identical to other transport rewards module like Air Miles, where members can redeem points on mixed airlines — much like an online transport group site.
“[You’ll have] some-more availability, a tangible probability of regulating your miles for flights that we wish on a days we want, during a times we want,” says Sojka, owner of Rewardscanada.ca.

Sojka doesn’t trust a cost of saving miles for economy flights will go adult — at slightest not significantly.
