The Public Health Agency of Canada says it has determined a couple between a new conflict of salmonella and a code of frozen tender breaded duck products sole essentially in eastern Canada.
PHAC released a remember Wednesday of Harvest Creek Chicken Nuggets with a best-before date of Oct. 11, 2018. The nuggets are sole in New Brunswick, Nova Scotia, Newfoundland and Labrador, Ontario and Quebec, though a sovereign group says they might have also been sole in other regions.
The salmonella conflict first reported in Sep 2017 left 13 people ill in 4 provinces, and 4 of them had to be hospitalized.
The sovereign group says there are now 30 cases of illness — two in Alberta, 17 in Ontario, 7 in Quebec and 4 in New Brunswick — and several people reported eating Harvest Creek Chicken Nuggets before removing sick.
PHAC says its investigation is ongoing, and more products related to a conflict could be identified.
The group says while a risk to Canadians is low, illness can be avoided if protected food handling, credentials and cooking practices are followed when scheming poultry.
Anyone who has come into hit with a removed product is suggested to rinse their hands with soap and comfortable H2O immediately.
The product should be cumulative in a cosmetic bag and thrown out, or returned to a store where it was purchased. Do not use or eat a removed product. Â
