Stormy Daniels kept dress from Donald Trump date, friend says

Porn star Stormy Daniels, whose real name is Stephanie Clifford, sat down with Anderson Cooper in an interview about her alleged affair with President Donald Trump.

A friend of Stormy Daniels says the porn actress kept the dress she wore on an alleged date with Donald Trump.

“All I know is that Stormy still has the dress that she wore from that night,” adult actress Alana Evans told CNN during an interview Monday.

When asked by CNN’s Jim Sciutto why Daniels, whose real name is Stephanie Clifford, might have kept the apparel, Evans said, “Maybe a keepsake, maybe it’s because it’s actual proof. I can only speculate the things that may be on that dress, especially if it’s never been washed.”

Sciutto, looking a tad uncomfortable, said: “Understood. We’ll leave that there.”

By mentioning a dress, Evans’ comments immediately brought to mind an earlier sex scandal involving then-president Bill Clinton and White House intern Monica Lewinsky. In 1997, Lewinsky confided to her friend, Linda Tripp, that she had kept a blue Gap dress stained with the president’s semen from an oral sex encounter. 

That dress ultimately proved Clinton lied when he denied he’d had a sexual relationship with Lewinsky, leading to his 1998 impeachment.

On Friday, ahead of Sunday’s 60 Minutes interview with Daniels, her attorney Michael Avenatti teased via Twitter that there might be photos or videos documenting a relationship with the future president.

Evans told CNN she was “unaware about text messages or pictures or any type of evidence she might have that would fit on a disc.”

Evans planned to return to CNN later.

Daniels on Monday escalated her legal fight with President Trump, arguing in court that Trump’s lawyer defamed her by suggesting she lied about an affair with Trump.

The actress amended her existing lawsuit against Trump, adding his lawyer Michael Cohen as a defendant — a day after her widely viewed 60 Minutes interview in which she provided salacious details about the alleged sexual encounter and claimed she had been physically threatened to keep quiet about Trump by an unknown man.

In addition to broadening the lawsuit to include Cohen, the new filing argues that a $130,000 payment for her silence days before the election amounted to an illegal campaign contribution.
