Square Enix at Toy Fair 2018 – A comics heavy year

Square Enix was in attendance at Toy Fair 2018, and so were its display cases that give me nightmares for a full year after trying to shoot photography through them.

I try folks, I really do, but I’m primarily a writer, not a photographer.

All of that being said, there are still some awesome items coming this year, and while comic-based characters seem to be the emphasis, there was still plenty of Final Fantasy inspired items on the way. I was a bit surprised to see a Vincent from Dirge of Cerberus: Final Fantasy VII as it has been ages since I heard anyone even mention that spinoff. And the Bahamut was stunning.

As always I walked away from the Square Enix booth wondering just how much money I had theoretically spent this year.
