Canadian sell sales fell in December, finale a run of 3 true months of increases, Statistics Canada reported Thursday.
For a month, sales were down by 0.8 per cent to $49.6 billion.Â
The news was a bit weaker than a marketplace had been expecting. Economists had been raised a dump of 0.5 per cent.
Statistics Canada pronounced Dec sales during ubiquitous sell stores were down 5.3 per cent following increases in Oct and November, while sales during health and personal caring stores forsaken 3.8 per cent, especially due to weaker sales in Ontario.
Sales during wiring and apparatus stores slipped 9.1 per cent in Dec following a 12.7 per cent jump in November on new product releases and stronger promotional activity for Black Friday.
