Your Instagram Stories are about to get a lot more animated

Do you enjoy plastering your Instagram Stories with quirky stickers that convey what you truly feel? Well, that’s about to get a lot easier. Instagram is rolling out support for GIF stickers for Stories, opening up a world of opportunity to up your story game.

The addition of Instagram GIFs comes as a result of GIPHY integration, letting people flood their Stories with flying tacos, rotating pizza or rad sparkling sunglasses. To access GIFs, just tap on the sticker tab on the top right hand corner where there will now be a new section available for GIF stickers.

There you can browse GIPHY’s wide ranging catalogue of stickers for the right occasion. You can either search for a specific sticker or go with one that is trending. Just like regular stickers, there is no limit to the amount of GIF stickers you can include in a story.

Instagram also announced that it’ll soon roll out support to add your own videos and photos of any size. You won’t be required to crop every photo or video to the awkward 9 by 16 portrait aspect ratio anymore. That should arrive in the coming weeks.
