The animation illustrates a changing seasons, from a snow-covered Canada to a loss and waxing ice of a Arctic and Antarctic.

“These are impossibly evocative visualizations of a vital planet,” Gene Carl Feldman, an oceanographer during NASA’s Goddard Space Flight Center pronounced in a statement. “That’s a Earth, that is it respirating each singular day, changing with a seasons, responding to a Sun, to a changing winds, sea currents and temperatures.”
