Sony’s latest Ultra HD TVs have Google Assistant built-in

Sony today announced pricing and availability for its new lineup of Ultra HD televisions — all of which boast HDR and have the Google Assistant baked in. The sets will make their official debut next month, but you can pre-orders yours now from Best Buy.

Sony has long been a big supporter of Google’s software and features. The Japanese firm has been making Android smartphones for over 7 years, and it was one of the first to embrace Google TV. Now that the platform is dead, Sony is pushing Android TV instead.

Sony’s mid- to high-end sets have been shipping with Android TV for a while, and its latest all offer the Google Assistant on top. Here is the complete lineup, which starts at $1,000 and maxes out at a whipping $7,500:

  • XBR-75X940E, 75” class (74.5” diagonal), $7,499.99 MSRP
  • XBR-65X930E, 65” class (64.5” diagonal), $3,999.99 MSRP
  • XBR-55X930E, 55” class (54.6” diagonal), $3,299.99 MSRP

  • XBR-49X900E, 49” class (48.5” diagonal), $1,699.99 MSRP
  • XBR-75X850E, 75” class (74.5” diagonal), $4,999.99 MSRP
  • XBR-65X850E, 65” class (64.5” diagonal), $2,499.99 MSRP
  • XBR-55X800E, 55” class (54.6” diagonal), $1,899.99 MSRP

  • XBR-43X800E, 43” class (42.5” diagonal), $999.99 MSRP

All of these sets also offer HDR, but as you would expect, the more expensive models have other features, too.

The X930E and X940E series include the X1 Extreme processor that promises to improve image accuracy, contract, and clarity for an even greater HDR experience. They also feature an improved grid-array backlighting system.

The 900E, 800E, and X850E series are powered by a standard X1 image processor. They also sport TRILUMINOS Displays and Motionflow XR technology for super-smooth 4K video.

Sony says its new sets will be available in stores throughout the U.S. beginning in March, but you can pre-orders yours from Best Buy today by following the link below.
