Red Dead Redemption 2 not announced for PC, just Xbox One and PS4

After days of teasing, Rockstar finally announced Red Dead Redemption 2. The game is set to release in the Fall of 2017.

Something was  mysteriously missing from the official page and the press release that went out. Both list the Xbox One and PlayStation 4 as platforms for the game, but nowhere is there any mention of the game coming to PC.

Where is the PC version of Red Dead Redemption 2?

While Grand Theft Auto IV and Grand Theft Auto V wound up on PC, Red Dead Redemption never made the jump. It was apparently never even considered. That was a full six years ago, though, and will be more than seven once the sequel lands. The Xbox One and PlayStation 4 are more similar to PCs than their predecessors ever were. Multiplatform releases that include PC among them are more common than ever.

It’s possible Rockstar will release a PC port sometime later as they did with Grand Theft Auto V, but it seems like a weird oversight to not even mention it. From our current perspective, the company is just leaving money on the table by not bring this game to PC.

We’re keeping our fingers crossed that the port is simply coming later rather than not at all. For now, Red Dead Redemption 2 is headed for PlayStation 4 and Xbox One next fall.
