PlayStation’s huge Sale of the Dead drops 75% off horror games

It’s Halloween, and PlayStation has a sale that you can’t refuse. This year’s “Sale of the Dead” is dropping 75 percent off of dozens or horror titles, guaranteeing you a night of creepy, twisted adventures. See the full list of games below.

Resident Evil, Castlevania, Fatal Frame, oh my!

As usual, I’ll get into some recommendations. Resident Evil 4 and Castlevania: The Dracula X Chronicles, housing portable versions of Castlevania: Rondo of Blood and Castlevania: Symphony of the Night, already provide several of the best video games ever created, so passing them up once again at rock bottom price is just your loss.

The Fatal Frame games, especially Fatal Frame II: Crimson Butterfly, are some of the scariest, most bone-chilling video games ever created. If you want genuine scares, look no further.

Beyond these choices, Grim Fandango Remastered is a fun comedy ghost game with some brilliant storytelling chops, as is Catherine with a wonderfully horrific look at infidelity. The Swapper provides plenty of frights for a platformer puzzler, and of course, there it Outlast, which is one of the standards by which we judge horror games nowadays.

Still, for the scariest game of the bunch… Fatal Frame II. I swear you’ve never seen anything like it.
